About Cherry
I’m a Biomedical Sciences graduate with a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Sciences and an MRes in Life Sciences. My background has given me experience across biomedical research, laboratory science, healthcare and the medical-device industry.
I’ve always enjoyed science, but I know that it can sometimes feel difficult or intimidating when you’re faced with complex topics and lots of information to remember. That’s one of the reasons I’d like to tutor — I want to help students realise that Biology doesn’t have to feel overwhelming.
I enjoy breaking complicated scientific concepts down into clear, simple explanations and helping people reach that moment where everything finally clicks. I also know how much difference having someone patient and encouraging can make when you’re struggling with a subject.
I’d like my lessons to be a space where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and learning at their own pace. Whether you’re aiming for a particular grade, preparing for an exam or simply want to feel more confident in Biology, I’d love to help you get there.
For me, tutoring isn’t just about improving grades. It’s about building understanding, confidence and an interest in science that students can carry forward with them.

Biology can feel overwhelming when you’re expected to memorise huge amounts of information without really understanding how it all connects. My approach is to make those difficult topics simple, logical and easier to remember.
I don’t believe in giving you the answers and moving on. Instead, I’ll help you understand why something happens, then show you how to apply that knowledge to exam questions and unfamiliar problems.
Every student learns differently, so I’ll adapt our sessions to what works for you. If you’re struggling with a particular topic, we’ll break it down step-by-step. If you’re preparing for exams, we’ll focus on exam technique, common mistakes and applying your knowledge under pressure. If you’re already confident, we’ll push your understanding further.
I also want you to feel comfortable asking questions — there are no silly questions in my lessons. My aim is for you to leave each session thinking, “That actually makes sense now.”
With my background in Biomedical Sciences, postgraduate Life Sciences research and professional laboratory work, I can also bring real-world examples into lessons to show you how the biology you’re learning connects to actual science and healthcare.
Most importantly, I’ll work with you, not just talk at you. We’ll set clear goals, track your progress and build your confidence alongside your knowledge.
