About Elizaine

I am a native speaker of the Brazilian variation of Portuguese and I hold an upper second class BA honors in Linguistics and Spanish with Birkbeck College- University of London.

I do not only come from a family of highly renowned teachers but I also have experience tutoring Language for school children in Brazil. I am passionate about languages and cultures, which I acquire whistle traveling, and my language skills are not only gained in the classroom but also through full immersion experiences.
Born and raised in Brazil, I have learned English in England and studied Spanish both in England and Spain.

I am committed to sharing my knowledge and experiences with my clients by promoting a creative learning environment and sharing the benefits and importance of learning a foreign, second, or heritage language.
In my classes, I use a mixture of powerpoint presentations, handouts, literature, music/audio, and games. I provide all the resource needed and I also provide students with extra material and coaching for self-study. My teaching methods consist of directing and grammar-translations.

Deadly! Amazing Tutor
I am not very quick at picking things up but Elizaine is so patient & encouraging I can go at my own pace and she explains things very clearly.

Deadly! Wonderful Teacher
I am a ‘mature student’ learning Brazilian. It is a long time since I’ve been in a classroom to learn anything & languages was always difficult however Elizaine has made it a pleasure. She is so patient with me & explains it so well. She is encouraging & reassuring & a joy to be taught by. If anyone is nervous like I am I would highly recommend her.
