About Amit

Hi my name is Amit and I am a recent BSc (Hons) chemistry graduate from the University of Warwick. I understand that studying for both GCSE and A levels is a difficult time and I am here to help make it all easier. Having studied for these exams myself in the recent past I understand which revision methods are the most effective and prioritise them so we can achieve top grades. Every pupil is different and that is why I will spend some time assessing your strengths and weaknesses so we can thoroughly develop your understanding of the topic. I have a great passion for chemistry and would love to share my understanding in the field. Having obtaining A*’s in GCSE biology and maths, and also A’s in A level biology and maths I am also qualified to help students at GCSE level for these 2 subjects. As I have obtained a chemistry degree I will be able to tutor this to a GCSE and A level standard.

About the lesson

I believe that 1 to 1 learning is the most effective way of retaining information. It allows me to successfully assess the strengths and weaknesses of the pupil, so we can develop a thorough understanding of the subject. I believe that regularly working through past paper questions is highly beneficial as it highlights exactly what the exam board wants from each question and developing these skills are vital in order to succeed in the exams. My lessons will be either 1 hour or 2 hour sessions. I have worked as an independent tutor in the past helping students with GCSE and A level chemistry. I have recently graduated from the University of Warwick with a BSc (Hons) in chemistry and currently studying a Masters degree in chemistry at the University of Leeds. During my A levels I achieved 3 A’s in maths, biology and chemistry. I am available to tutor students for GCSE and A level Chemistry, as well as GCSE biology and maths.
