About Arwen
Hi, I’m Arwen! I’m a geology graduate with a strong foundation in math, physics, and science, and I’m passionate about helping students feel more confident in these subjects. I know how stressful school can feel at times, so I bring patience, clarity, and encouragement into every lesson. My approach is practical and student-focused: I break tricky concepts into easy steps, use real-world examples, and adapt to your pace so learning feels achievable. Whether you’re preparing for exams, aiming to boost grades, or just needing a supportive guide, I’ll meet you where you’re at. My Teaching Approach I believe learning works best when students feel supported, encouraged, and able to connect concepts to real-world examples. I adapt my teaching style to each student’s needs—whether you learn best through step-by-step problem solving, visual explanations, or practical applications. Lesson Format A typical lesson runs for 1 hour, with time divided between reviewing core concepts, working through examples, and practicing problem-solving. I also provide tips for exam preparation and study strategies. Qualifications & Experience I hold a degree in Geology with a strong background in mathematics, physics, and scientific research. I’ve worked both academically and in the field, which gives me a unique ability to show how abstract topics apply in real life. I also have experience supporting peers and younger students through mentoring and tutoring. Who My Lessons Are For I tutor high school and early university students in math, physics, and science.
