About Gabriela
Hi! I’m Gabi — a college student passionate about helping younger students feel confident in math and writing. I’ve always loved breaking down tough concepts into simple, clear steps and showing that schoolwork doesn’t have to feel overwhelming. I tutor middle and high school math (from pre-algebra to Calculus AB) and writing for any subject — from essays and research papers to creative assignments. Because I’ve been through challenging classes myself, I know how to explain topics in a way that actually makes sense, not just repeat textbook definitions. When I’m not tutoring, I’m studying sustainability and business, playing soccer, and staying active. I love encouraging students to believe in themselves and discover that they’re capable of mastering subjects they once thought were too hard.

1) Teaching Method and Techniques
I teach by making hard topics feel manageable. In math, I break down big problems into smaller, logical steps and show multiple ways to reach an answer so students can pick the method that clicks for them. In writing, I guide students through idea generation, clear structure, and strong thesis/support, helping them develop a confident voice.
Math: step-by-step problem solving, visual explanations, practice with immediate feedback.
Writing: brainstorming, outlining, thesis building, sentence clarity, and revision strategies.
I adapt to each student’s learning style (visual, logical, or hands-on) and build study habits that work long-term.

Concept breakdown — go over the core idea (e.g., limits, derivatives, integrals) with visuals/examples.

For Writing
Discuss assignment & goals — understand prompt and deadlines.
