About Tallula

I went through the medical school application like many others and was successful landing a place at Cambridge university. I thus understand its workings. I took the UKCAT and BMAT and have done both traditional and MMI style interviews, having been successful in both cases. I am willing to help with any aspect of application.

About the lesson

It depends hugely on what help the student needs in this area. I will try to assess this quickly and aid where I can. Practice interviews as well as help with personal statements and admissions tests are available. I am happy to help where I can.

Tallula's response
Really great statement and great enthusiasm for the subject. She is clearly up to date with medical issues and ethics and has shown a broad understanding of the subjects.

Areas to improve include
- knowing what tone to use when writing (not sounding angry or using idoms such as 'like' in formal speech)
- grammar (this will come with time as not her first language)
- remembering the importance of the non-academic parts of medicine
- Tallula's response :

I have been friends with Tallula since we realised we had the same birthday back in 2012. Since then she has tutored me for my GCSE maths resit and helped me go from a fail to a B which was a HUGE deal for me and then tutored me through Alevel chemistry and my application to study medicine at Queens Belfast. I made my offer and have started this year and I have no doubt Tallula was part of the reason why!
She encouraged and helped me without being patronising and it is clear through her own achievements she knows what she is doing.
I would recommend Tallula for anyone as she is kind and caring but also honest enough to tell you when you're not trying hard enough or if you have made a mistake. (plus she has amazing notes) She is happy to teach through debate and discussion which I found to broaden my point of view but also better prepare me for my medicine interviews.
