About Alessandro
Hello! I'm Alessandro - a 3rd year Cambridge University Chemistry student, and I'm passionate about helping students achieve their maximum potential.
Having tutored GCSE and A-level Maths and Chemistry for a year while at sixth form, and having tutored and mentored for 2 years at ZeroGravity while in at university, I sadly know how much ability and talent in students goes to waste. I am tutoring not only to perfect that exam score by showing the students exactly what an examiner wants to see, but also to improve the core understanding of the topic at hand.
I have achieved 4 A* at A-level (Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry, Biology) but I took many courses throughout my degree which rely heavily on knowledge of physics and maths, in particular quantum mechanics and molecular dynamics. I offer an extremely wide scope of understanding and interdisciplinary knowledge which I use to help students understand the nuance of the concepts being taught.

Students are tutored by explaining the basic knowledge behind a topic and by offering multiple angles via which to approach the ideas being taught, to deeply understand the 'why' and the 'how' - however the best way to learn is to test! The understanding of the subject, as well as problem solving abilities and exam technique are rigurously tested each lesson using detailed and specific feedback on weekly problem sets.
I am extremely flexible and no teaching method is always set in stone; topics can be taught from scratch, alongside topics already being taught, or reviewed from the past, to make sure that the skill and understanding isn't lost to time.
