About Asma
Hello! I’m a passionate biology educator with a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Cambridge, where I also completed postdoctoral research in structural biology. Over the years, I’ve worked at the cutting edge of biological science, but what truly drives me is helping others understand and appreciate the subject as much as I do. I’ve spent the last decade immersed in the world of biology—from studying proteins in the lab to publishing scientific research. But alongside the research, I’ve always loved teaching. I’ve tutored students from high school to postgraduate levels and mentored university students in both coursework and lab-based research. Science isn’t just about memorising facts—it’s about curiosity, connection, and discovery. I teach because I believe in making biology approachable, engaging, and deeply meaningful. I want to help students not only succeed academically but also develop a genuine understanding and appreciation for how life works at the molecular and cellular level.
