About Laurence

Through my studies and experience in performing with choirs, I've developed a love of nurturing new voices. I've sung in choirs from a very young age, reading sheet music and learning by ear. The mental benefits of singing, both in a group and individually, are almost immeasurable. If you want to sing, but feel like you can't, or don't know where to start, I want to help you. Singing is like any skill - with the right amount of practice and positive reinforcement, it can become second nature!

About the lesson

Hello! Are you looking to: • Start learning singing for the first time • Develop technique and strong singing practices • Prepare for exams and auditions • Learn to sing in multiple different styles If so, I'd love to be able to help you! With a friendly, encouraging and nurturing style of teaching, learning with me will be a safe space to start your journey or grow your voice. A bit about me: • I graduated with an MA in Composition from the Royal Academy of Music, and a BA (Hons) in Music from the University of York. • I lead choirs across London, specialising in pop and classical music. • I have worked with both professional and amateur singers. • I teach both online and in-person (I can travel to you, or hire out a practice space). • My first lesson is free!
