About Louise

I am a dedicated ESL tutor with 11 years of experience teaching high school and college students, specialising in personalised instruction that fosters fluency, confidence, and academic achievement. I design lessons to match the student’s goals, level, and learning style, integrating grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, and speaking exercises with practical examples and interactive activities.

I aim to create a positive and motivating environment where students feel encouraged to participate actively, build confidence, and develop strong communication skills. Over the past 11 years, I have helped students improve fluency, achieve better academic results, and gain the confidence to communicate effectively in English in both school and real-life contexts.

About the lesson

My teaching philosophy centres on the C³P approach—Creativity, Communication, Compassion, and Problem-solving—to ensure students not only learn English but enjoy the journey. I incorporate creative activities like role-plays, storytelling, and interactive projects, which help students experiment with language in fun and meaningful ways.

Communication is emphasised through discussions, debates, and group work, allowing students to develop fluency, active listening skills, and confidence in expressing ideas. Compassion drives my teaching; I understand that every learner is unique, so I tailor lessons to individual strengths and areas of improvement, providing encouragement and support.

Problem-solving is integrated through real-life scenarios, analytical exercises, and collaborative tasks that challenge students to think critically and apply language skills practically. I also teach relevant subjects such as reading comprehension, writing skills, and vocabulary building, which complement English learning and enhance overall academic growth.

By combining these four principles, I aim to create a nurturing, stimulating environment where students become not only proficient in English but also confident, creative, and capable of approaching challenges with insight and skill.
