About Josh

I am an accomplished Designer with experience leading design teams and mentoring young designers at the start of their careers. My past roles include working for respected names such as Vetements, Harley-Davidson, SSENSE, Dunhill, Craig Green and Christopher Shannon, as well as offering my services on a freelance basis to multiple exciting projects. I have designed across product categories for both Menswear and Womenswear collections and my roles have led to living in the UK, USA and Europe allowing me to build a strong and widespread creative network. I gained an MA from Central Saint Martins; graduating in 2020 and a BA from the University of Westminster in 2018, with both graduate collections being shown on schedule at London Fashion Week. For my MA studies, I was selected by a panel of industry professionals as the recipient of the British Fashion Council MA scholarship, and I hope to share my skillset to enable the next generation of designers to establish themselves in the industry and achieve their goals. I have tutored students at GCSE, A-Level, Foundation and BA stages to help them with everything from University applications, to portfolios for jobs and scholarships and I look to offer my services to students at all levels from around the world.

About the lesson

My tutoring approach will offer industry insight gained from my own personal design experience to foster aspiring creatives, giving them the skills and expertise needed to launch a successful career in the Fashion Industry. Having studied at two world-renowned Fashion schools, Central Saint Martins and the University of Westminster, and then working designing across product categories for runway and commercial collections, I have gained key skills in research, concept building, design development and garment construction and I look to empower my students to achieve their career goals through tailored 1 to 1 sessions. This will include portfolio reviews and projects and I have experience working with levels from GCSE and A-Level Students to Foundation and BA students looking to build strong portfolios for University and Job applications. My lesson length can be anywhere from 1-2 hours depending on the topics covered.
