About Michelle

Hello! I'm Michelle, a TESOL-certified English language educator with over a decade of international teaching experience across Japan, the UK and online platforms. I have a Bachelors of Education, and am currently working towards my Masters in Education.

Beyond the classroom, I maintain a strong interest in language acquisition, social justice in education and educational psychology. I am currently learning to read Khmer.

I hold a level 4 TESOL diploma and international Montessori diploma and have 10 years of varied and international professional teaching experience including adults and children in Japan, the UK, and online, in language centers, schools and kindergartens.

On Superprof I offer exam preparation (IELTS, Cambridge and TOEFL), classes for children 5+, and general English as a Second Language. Please note I do not teach beginners (A0, A1).

About the lesson

I teach 50 minute online English lessons.

I have many years of experience supporting students who are hoping to study or live abroad, to pass the Cambridge/IELTS/TOEFL examination with the score they need.

Whether you require tailored support with reading, writing, speaking or listening, or all-round preparation, let's get you ready for your Cambridge/IELTS examination with examination techniques, exercises designed to practise skills as required for the test, and past papers with guided support. I offer preparation for levels A2-C1.

I can also offer Cambridge for Schools examination support for A2-B2 exams as well as Movers, Starters and Flyers. I do not teach Business English for Business Exams.

I also offer general English as a Second Language for children (5+) and adults.

I was lucky to secure a full time place for my 3yr old son in Miss Michelle Montessori Class (Little People's Nursery) during 2023/2024. Having previously been a stay at home mum, I was a little nervous about how he would adapt to the change. Miss Michelle came highly recommended and was much loved by parents. This eased my mind in placing him into her care.

As a covid baby, he was delayed in speech and his confidence interacting with his peers was very low. As soon as he entered her class, Miss Michelle took him under her wing and supported him to achieve his personal best. He loved being in her class and the development leaps he made were truly amazing. She was also brilliant at giving feedback and offered excellent advice to me when I too was in need of support and information.

Miss Michelle is an outstanding, enthusiastic teacher who is engaging, patient, caring and supportive. Her understanding of montessori is second to none.
