About Jacki
I see every kiddo as their own person: feelings, knowledge, experiences, style. I welcome you as you are. I see you, and I want to help you feel stronger with yourself. Think of me like your GPS, you know the way, I just will guide you to where you need to go. I have been a virtual tutor for 6 years now, full time since 2023. Some days, we just can't math or we can't figure something out, and that's okay. You're human. Together, we will figure it out.

I meet every kiddo where they are and help guide them towards where they should be. We look at foundational skills and where their misunderstandings occur. I always bring who I am to each and every session. Having kiddos talk out their thinking to me and take chances helps me understand their thought processes, giving me key info to help fill in the gaps or encourage their progress. We start with a check-in, ask if they want to check out something they have in mind and then we go from there. I follow along with their grade level and standards to always have something ready for them. I encourage students to speak up: stop me if the question confuses them, ask me to repeat something, be honest about what they think the answer is. An "I don't know" doesn't bother me. Sometimes, we just don't, and that's okay. We will figure it out together! Every step in the right direction is celebrated, and every misstep is guided. Together, I strive to show the kiddos, "hey, you DO got this!"
