About Anastasia

Hi! My name is Anastasia, and I've been teaching Russian for several years now. I help both adults and children speak Russian naturally and fluently — without boring memorization or even homework

Before becoming a teacher, I worked in marketing and operations analysis for over 7 years. Then I passed a teaching certification exam, got my certificate, and… here I am! ️

Over the years, I've helped dozens of students:

Start communicating freely with their Russian-speaking family members and friends.

Take up Russian as a new hobby and discover the joy of learning a new language.

Successfully navigate job interviews and work with Russian-speaking colleagues and companies.

And even find love

About the lesson

If I had to describe my teaching approach in a few words, I'd say this: your interests and goals come first, not the textbook. The goal of each lesson isn't just to learn a particular grammar rule or a new word, but to speak better than you did before.

My students bring their own lives, experiences and stories to our lessons, and that's what we talk about. The textbook is simply a supporting tool.

Here's what one of my students has to say:

"I love that the topics are engaging and go beyond what's usually found in textbooks. The discussion questions are thought-provoking and give you something real to say or relate to from your own life. I also love learning new vocabulary."

I don't wait for a dedicated speaking activity to get my students talking. I look for opportunities to practice speaking throughout the entire lesson — whether we're working on grammar, listening or something else. I always find ways to bring vocabulary from previous lessons into conversation or practice new phrases and structures. Even when we're doing a grammar exercise!

We also work a lot with common expressions and collocations. It's all about developing a feel for the language and an instinct for what sounds natural — so that you don't have to stop and think about how to say something. You just know what sounds right and how to express yourself naturally.

This is exactly why my students make progress in speaking so quickly, whatever their level, and learn to use Russian naturally and effortlessly, without having to overthink every sentence.

That's the magic of it! ️🪄

I'd love to invite you to be part of this magic and try a lesson with me!
