About Perri
I have taught every social studies subject as a classroom teacher. I’ve also worked as a department chair where I mentored and led professional developments for social studies teachers. I am currently pursuing my PhD at UT Austin where I TA and guest lecture.

My background is in project-based learning, which is based in authentic learning and real-world problem solving that has proven to elicit better understanding and a more critical outlook on this knowledge. I use storytelling and narratives to help my students navigate the material at hand.
