About Casey
I am an educator of over 12 years. I have teaching certifications in elementary general ed, learning disabilities, and reading specialist. I also have extensive Math Recovery training which has certified me as a Math Recovery Specialist and Champion. I love my job, but as a coach I currently work mainly with teachers and I am hoping to start helping students again as well!

I have tons of experience helping kids of all ages become incredible mathematicians and problem solvers! Everyone is a math person, and I truly believe that! I work to build students’ abilities to flexibly and efficiently solve problems. I believe in the benefits of the concrete- pictorial-abstract progression in math as well as building conceptual understanding of mathematics. I love working with students’ strengths to give them the autonomy to solve problems in ways that make sense to them, in hopes to build on those strengths and create creative, purposeful mathematicians who can grapple with real world problems and find appropriate solutions.
