My teaching approach as a tutor:
1. Assessing the needs of the student: I start by analyzing the student's current understanding of the subject which helps in identifying any knowledge gaps and where extra support is required.
2. Setting attainable goals: Working as a team with the student, I establish learning goals and objectives.
3. Planning the lessons: I create a well-defined lesson plan which is easy to follow. I break down complex topics into manageable parts which helps the student retain more from tutoring sessions.
4. Providing real world solutions: As an engineering graduate with experience in the work force, I can provide problem solving perspectives for students getting ready for high school and university.
