About Kareem
I have tutored 3 students when I was at school, one through GSCE (achieved nine 9s and one 8), one through year 6 (an advanced student whom I could teach GSCE level to), and one in Year 12 who will be taking their A Levels this year.
I have also worked at a summer boarding school where I helped students regularly with homework, from which I have a completed DBS check.

I am a second year chemistry student at the University of Bristol, currently in London after a term abroad in Paris. I give lessons primarily to A Level and GSCE chemistry or maths students.
After an introductory session to understand a student's capabilities and to note their exam board's if applicable, sessions will involve working through questions of my own as well as exam papers, and explaining the reasoning behind all the working so that there is a solid foundation.
I believe that the hardest part of schoolwork is in conceptualising the content, and that is because students are rarely taught why theories work in the way they do. A strong understanding in this allows for a great increase in capability with the subject as a whole.
At the end of the session there is an opportunity for the student to ask about their school homework if they are having particular difficulty. Finally, if the student is also interested in further education in Chemistry, I can provide reading material and discuss topics that will provide a segue into it.
