About Damien
My interest in chemistry began with fascination for how small molecular changes create significant effects. This led me to pursue a B.Sc in Chemical Sciences, where I developed strong theoretical and practical foundations. Over 9 years of teaching, I have supported students in building clarity and confidence through patient, structured instruction. I believe chemistry should be taught with empathy and clarity. My teaching style focuses on breaking complex ideas into manageable steps and adapting explanations to individual needs. I encourage curiosity and questions, helping students grow steadily. Outside teaching, I remain engaged with chemistry through scientific reading and continuous learning. These interests enrich my lessons. Teaching chemistry is fulfilling because I see students grow into confident learners who trust their scientific reasoning.

Chemistry lessons are designed to help learners understand how matter behaves, interacts, and transforms. I guide students through atomic structure, bonding, stoichiometry, acids and bases, thermodynamics, and introductory organic chemistry using clear explanations and real-world examples. Lessons focus on relationships between concepts, helping students build a connected understanding rather than memorizing isolated facts.
Lessons are adapted to the learner’s academic stage. Beginners focus on chemical language, equations, and basic calculations. Intermediate learners strengthen reaction analysis, equilibrium concepts, and laboratory reasoning. Advanced learners work on multi-step problem-solving, exam strategies, and data interpretation. Regular practice and feedback ensure clarity and confidence.
