About Evan

My interest in chemistry began when I first learned how atoms combine to form different substances and how chemical reactions explain many natural processes around us. I became fascinated by the idea that small particles that cannot be seen directly can still influence many aspects of our daily lives. This curiosity encouraged me to study chemistry in greater depth and eventually complete a Master’s Degree in Chemistry, where I explored subjects such as organic chemistry, physical chemistry, and laboratory research methods.

During my 10 years of teaching, I have worked with many students who had different experiences with chemistry. Some learners felt confident in science, while others needed more guidance to understand difficult concepts. My teaching approach focuses on patience, clear explanations, and gradual learning so students can build their knowledge step by step. I encourage learners to ask questions freely and explore the reasoning behind each chemical idea.

Outside teaching, I enjoy reading scientific articles and following research developments in chemical science and environmental chemistry. These activities help me stay connected with current scientific knowledge and allow me to include interesting examples in my lessons. Teaching chemistry is meaningful to me because I see students gain confidence and begin to understand how scientific ideas explain the world around them.

My chemistry lessons are designed to help students develop a deep and clear understanding of how matter behaves and how chemical changes occur in different situations. Many learners find chemistry difficult because they try to memorize reactions and formulas without fully understanding the ideas behind them. In my lessons we begin with the foundations of chemistry such as atomic structure, elements, compounds, and the organization of the periodic table. I explain these concepts carefully and connect them with examples so students can see how small atomic changes influence the behavior of substances. This approach helps learners gradually develop a strong conceptual base.

As students build confidence with the basic ideas, lessons move toward chemical bonding, reaction types, and balancing chemical equations. I guide students through examples that demonstrate how substances interact during reactions and why certain products are formed. Learners practice solving chemistry questions that involve both conceptual reasoning and numerical calculations. This steady practice helps them improve their understanding and accuracy while solving scientific problems.

My goal is to help students develop confidence in learning chemistry while encouraging curiosity about the scientific world. Lessons focus on clear explanation, careful reasoning, and structured practice. Over time students begin to approach chemistry with greater interest and understanding. They also develop stronger scientific thinking skills that help them analyze chemical processes more logically and independently.
