About Mae
I have an MPhil in Chemistry and more than seven years of experience teaching students across various levels. My teaching philosophy emphasises clarity, practical relevance, and curiosity-driven learning. In class, I use storytelling, visual aids, and real-world examples to help students grasp complex chemical principles. My Chemistry lessons combine theory, visualisation, and practical examples. I start with the fundamentals of atomic and molecular structure, moving towards reaction mechanisms, stoichiometry, and real-life applications in industry and research. Students use models, diagrams, and simulations to visualise chemical processes, making abstract ideas concrete and understandable. Problem-solving exercises reinforce analytical thinking and conceptual mastery. I connect lessons to everyday phenomena, such as cooking reactions, environmental chemistry, or material science, helping learners appreciate Chemistry’s relevance. By the end of the course, students gain both strong conceptual understanding and practical problem-solving skills, preparing them for academic success and informed real-world applications.
