About Ana
I am a 2nd year Chemistry Newcastle University student with a First in first year. I am bilingual in English and Spanish so I can teach in both languages if necessary and also offer Spanish lessons alongside Science and Maths. I am familiar with the newer 9-1 GCSEs having obtained 1 mark off a 9 in my own maths GCSE myself. I have previously mentored a year 9 girl who saw major improvements in her work grades and confidence by the end of the year and requested for further mentoring by me for the next year.

I emphasise on the topics causing problems and try and understand where the student is going wrong. In doing so I am able to pinpoint the misunderstanding by the student and correct it, followed by working through examples together to gain confidence and ask any further questions. Once completed I ask the student to work on questions under my supervision to ensure the student has fully grasped the content before moving on topics.
