About Nancy
Chemistry tutor with 3 years of experience teaching high school students. Have taught around 150 students, helping many improve grades and pass board exams. My teaching is patient, clear, and tailored to each student. I believe every student can understand chemistry if it is explained in the right way. I use simple language and avoid unnecessary jargon. I also provide additional practice sheets and revision notes for exam preparation. I am available for doubt-clearing sessions outside class hours. My teaching approach for Chemistry is built on step-by-step logic and real-world examples. I connect every topic to everyday materials like soap, food, and medicines, so you see chemistry in action. We break down challenging areas like balancing equations, mole concept, and reaction types into simple, repeatable steps. I encourage curiosity by asking you to predict outcomes of simple reactions. Motivation comes from weekly quizzes and celebrating each mastered topic. I give honest feedback and always adjust to your pace. For Chemistry, we cover atomic structure, periodic table, chemical bonding, stoichiometry, acids and bases, introductory organic chemistry, and basic lab safety. I also teach related topics like scientific notation, unit conversions, and graph plotting. I use examples from common household reactions and my own students' progress to show that chemistry is logical. Sessions include solving problems together, drawing structures, and discussing exam strategies. I assign simple homework like balancing 5 equations or naming 10 compounds. I keep notes of each session to track improvement. I also use visual aids like periodic table charts and molecular models to make abstract concepts concrete. For students who struggle with mole concept, I use analogies like counting eggs or money to explain Avogadro's number. For organic chemistry, I use color-coded reaction maps to show how functional groups transform. I also conduct quick oral quizzes at the start of each session to reinforce previous topics. My goal is to make you confident and exam-ready.
