About Sophie

After graduating from the University of Salford, I went straight into the casting profession. I started off casting short films for independent production companies and then I landed a job with ITV where I spent 8 years casting for the award winning soap, Emmerdale. During my time there, I auditioned and cast all the children from 2011 - 2019 including Amelia Flanagan who won 'Best Young Performer' at the Soap Awards 2015.
I have been involved in the casting of children in a leading supermarket TV campaign and I have hosted a number of children's workshops for mock TV auditions.
In terms of my own professional experience, I have performed at The National Theatre and recently had TV roles in ‘Nolly’ and Significant Other’ both for ITV.

About the lesson

My classes would be getting to know each child on an individual basis in order to determine their strengths as a young performer.
Each class will be tailored to the needs of each child where they will work by exercising existing TV excerpts from dramas, soaps and kids TV programmes.
I can offer advice on audition technique, acting agencies and work with the child on any forthcoming roles/auditions they may have.

Online lessons at £25 per hour
Lessons at the child's home are £35 per hour (within a 5km radius)
Free half hour lesson with the first booking.
