About Shawn

Hi, I’m Shawn — a friendly, bubbly coach with over 15 years of playing experience and a genuine love for the game of tennis. What excites me most about tennis is its unique blend of tactics, hand-eye coordination, sharp reflexes, physical endurance, and mental resilience. I’m always keen to really get to know the people I coach, approaching every session with honesty, authenticity, and real interest in your goals. My aim is simple: to help you have fun while improving your skills and confidence on court. I believe tennis doesn’t just build better players — it builds stronger, more resilient people. The challenges we face in this beautiful game often mirror life off the court, helping develop focus, discipline, and mental toughness that carry far beyond tennis.

About the lesson

My approach first focuses on fun and enjoyment, because if you're not enjoying yourself progress will be slow and forced.

Sessions will generally be 1 hour long, but am flexible dependent on your needs and preferences, available for all ages and experience.

My technique will cater to the individual dependent on your personal skill level, intentions and goals. Perfect for anyone serious about tennis, interested in learning or just keen to do some exercise!

I have 15+ years experience of competitive tennis and 5+ years coaching. I have completed these online e-certificates:
