About Pepe Alcocer

I have been teaching about 15 years, from popular guitar to classical guitar in particular and in houses of culture. In music institutions 7 years. 90% of my students who have submitted to different schools that offer the degree in music in the country have successfully passed the admission. I have taught theoretical and practical classes for undergraduate level: Music Analysis Harmony I and II, Workshop of Contemporary Music, Workshop of Popular Music I and II, Composition, Techniques of Composition, History of Mexican Music, Canon and Fuga, Instrument Poetics , Chamber Music, Orchestral Repertoire, Orchestral Ensemble, Main Instrument (Guitar) and Guitar Orchestra.

About the lesson

I am Pepe Alcocer classical guitarist and composer graduated from the Bachelor of Music. I have been a music teacher for undergraduate level. The classes are directed to all levels and the personal interest of each student, either to present an admission examination for a bachelor's degree or for the purpose that it needs. Class of classical guitar: As a main objective the technical strength of both hands, dividing specific exercises for each hand and simultaneous exercises. Also making a dumbbell with technical musical studies of great pedagogues of the guitar, applying variants of study for a fast advance, and allow us to go tacking complex repertoire and to work on the aspects of interpretation. In case of advanced students, we see the creation of repertoire, in-depth analysis of interpretations of styles. Musical creation: In this area it is important to emphasize as a first step in the areas of harmony, counterpoint and analysis of musical forms, for a better understanding of compositional techniques such as canon, fugue, invention, among others.
