About Shivani

I am a recent college graduate with degrees in a degree in Information Technology and Statistics. I have a strong academic background and expertise in various math subjects, including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and Statistics.

I am an experienced tutor and have tutored students in Geometry, Trigonometry, Algebra, AP Pre-Calculus, and AP Statistics. I have a genuine passion for math and my goal is to not only help students succeed in their classes but also help them enjoy the subject.

Additionally, I spent three years as a college admissions essay editor, so I bring strong communication skills and an understanding of what it takes to help students articulate their thinking clearly.

About the lesson

I tailor my teaching style based on what each student needs. I offer a range of tutoring services: homework help, test preparation, AP exam prep, or comprehensive subject instruction.

A typical lesson includes a clear explanation of new concepts, guided problem-solving where we work through examples together, independent practice problems for them to try on their own, and a detailed review of the solutions and methods.

I create personalized teaching plans based on how they learn best, whether that means more visual examples, hands-on practice, real-world applications, or step-by-step breakdowns. My goal is to help my students understand the "why" behind the math, not just memorize formulas.
