About Dan
I'm an experienced teacher/tutor with a MSc in Computer Science and a BSc in Math and Computer Science. I've taught as an instructor at Dawson College and McGill University for over 15 years. Teaching has always been my passion and as a student, I had several roles with teaching (teaching assistant, marker, math helpdesk, individual tutor). I also worked at Microsoft and Ericsson as a software developer for 6 years, where I cemented my technical knowledge.

A bit about my teaching philosophy:
I structure my lessons around what my students need. In general, I'm a strong believer in active learning by examples. I start by finding the point where my students' struggles begin. I then give examples and smaller problems to them, gradually increasing the difficulty level until they've reached their desired level of understanding.
Who are my lessons for:
-My lessons are for students of all ages/subjects in math or computer science.
-For math: calculus, probability, statistics, algebra, trigonometry, analysis.
-For computers: Java, C/C++, C#, Sql, Mongodb, Object Oriented Development, Python, Bash scripting, Software Design Principles, Git, Artificial intelligence
