About Melis

Hey! I’m Melis
After achieving A levels in Geography, Psychology and Biology, I decided to take a gap year before University. I wanted to take some time to understand my next steps. Every student has different goals in life and although stepping out of the trend was scary, this extra time allowed me to be more excited towards my passions for the future. I'm a very empathetic person, always wanting to make sure others meet their successes. This is why I love teaching and helping others improve, seeing them become proud of themselves for what they achieve. I struggled sometimes with motivation when studying, so finding new and innovative ways to interact with my brain encouraged me a lot and together I'd love to be able to share that with you too!

About the lesson

Finding a tutor can always feel scary! I know when I was looking I'd always be worrying if the teacher would think I'd sound silly or the tutor wouldn't shape the lessons to my needs. I like to use these worries I had to reassure future students that no answer is wrong, learning can be different for everyone. That's why at the start of the lesson we'd look together at what you'd like to improve most and throughout we'd focus on that particular improvement. For example, structure of essays. My lessons will be engaging, motivating and understanding to how YOU want to best improve your learning!
