About Harrisun
Hi I’m Harry, I currently study Computer Science at University, however I thoroughly enjoyed learning Chemistry at A-Level. I would love to help students improve in all areas of the specification as I know it is quite a jump up from GCSE, especially in Year 13. I am willing to help both GCSE and A-Level students.
I know how important exam technique is along with the maths and practical skills involved in the learning too. These will be my main priority and if any fundamental knowledge is being forgotten or missing I will primarily focus on improving this as concisely and coherently as I can.

There’s no point giving you a plethora of notes to write down for each session, I want my tutoring to be interactive and engaging in order to encourage confidence and thorough understanding of the topics as opposed to only memorising the content.
I can teach AQA and Edexcel as these are the exam boards I am most familiar with. I was a Subject Ambassador for Chemistry and competed in the UK Olympiad in Year 13. I know that getting to grips with the fundamental knowledge is absolutely key in maximising your ability to make links between multiple topics simultaneously so I ensure this is my main priority, no matter the topic.
I will be available to help students outside of tutoring sessions if they need extra help. I am hoping to not only improve student’s learning and techniques but their passion for the subject as I believe this massively helped me during my A-Levels. I made sure to work on my exam technique and my understanding of the fundamentals so that when it came to revision, I would complete PPQ’s a lot more stress free, without having to look through notes or books for help. I would like to teach other students these methods as it relieves you of exam stress and gives you a lot more belief in yourself.
I have reached the Top 5% of tutors in regards to reliability, feedback and flexibility for both GCSE and A-Level chemistry (on Tutorful) within only 5 months of being an online tutor. This is something I’m hoping to improve on further by gaining more exposure and helping additional students understand and enjoy their Chemistry work instead of seeing it as a burden.
