About Cyrus
For over 4 years, I’ve been tutoring middle school students in algebra. With a BSc in Mathematics for Data Science, I bring both knowledge and creativity to my teaching. I focus on the foundations—linear equations, polynomials, and functions. These areas often cause the most confusion, but I simplify them with care. Puzzles and games make practice more engaging. Real-world scenarios, like budgeting or sports, show why algebra matters. Every student learns differently, so I adapt my style. I’ve worked with visual learners, hands-on learners, and those who need repetition. Many of my students struggle with math anxiety, and I’ve helped them build confidence. My lessons are calm, supportive, and structured. Mistakes are seen as learning opportunities. I take pride in celebrating progress step by step. With me, algebra becomes approachable, enjoyable, and rewarding.

Discrete mathematics is taught with simple, practical examples. Algebra and problem-solving are linked to programming-style thought processes. I work closely with Architects and Proof Seekers. They learn to design solutions and explain them clearly. My sessions use coding puzzles and digital analogies. This makes abstract concepts feel familiar and less intimidating. I create a relaxed space for questions and growth. Each step builds confidence and understanding. Students learn not just answers, but ways of thinking. Mistakes are used to sharpen skills.
