About Daniel

Hi, my name is Daniel! I have an extensive background in teaching students and helping them to succeed across a variety of subjects. I graduated with a 4.00 GPA from the University of Maryland, College Park with a dual degree in accounting and finance and have always had a passion for teaching others. My specialties include financial and managerial accounting, CPA exam prep (I’m a CPA), Microsoft Excel, statistics, and SAT Math prep. I scored an average of 93 across all four parts of the CPA exam and have helped a large number of accounting students ranging in experience from those taking intro classes to CPA candidates. I also TA'd statistics in college for a few years (specifically business statistics) and scored a perfect 800 on the math portion of the SAT. Regardless of the subject, I pride myself on being able to explain concepts in a digestible manner and helping students to succeed. I have always gone the extra mile to help others learn, especially when I was a TA, and I look forward to continuing this approach as your tutor.

Summary of Qualifications:
- I am an experienced tutor with a 5.0 rating on Wyzant with over a thousand hours logged and all positive reviews from other students. I am looking forward to joining Superprof.
- I tutored accounting all throughout college to other students and have extensive expertise in teaching accounting and finance concepts.
- I scored an average of 93 across all four parts of the CPA exam and have tutored numerous CPA exam candidates.
- I was a TA in college for statistics, which was my minor. Being a TA involved teaching a weekly class to 30+ students and also holding frequent office hours for students that needed individual help.
- I scored a perfect 800 on the math section of my SAT.

About the lesson

I first seek to understand my students' needs and specific areas of confusion. At that point, we collaborate to work through the practice questions or test preparation materials as needed. I am also happy to tailor my services to the specific needs of any student and am easy to reach and very responsive.
