About Neelum

I am a third year pharmacy student in Florida and have a passion for teaching others. While in school I was always ready to teach my classmates that I was given the opportunity to tutor the class on specific disease states for the semester. I learned that rather than expecting students to come with questions, you need to create your own to test their understanding. Most students will not say they do not understand anything, therefore, I like to “reteach” the material which simplifies it for them and makes them more comfortable. Outside of school, I enjoy watching tv and relaxing outside with my family listening to music. th

About the lesson

I currently tutor students in the pharmacy program in group and private settings. Lessons are not only for pharmacy students, rather it can be tailored to any medical program. I am most familiar with pharmacology, but I have a solid foundation of pathophysiology and chemistry. My teaching style is old school where I write things out and make connections with supporting details. Depending on the lesson, I typically will go through the lecture material and pick out the most important things and write them out for my students and explain why. When reviewing before exams, I prefer to ask questions to my students and test their knowledge on the spot, but also test my own.
