About Sabika

Hi! I’m a dedicated, experienced, and passionate science tutor who believes that every student has the potential to succeed with the right support. My goal is to make learning engaging, interactive, and effective—because science isn’t just about memorising facts, it’s about understanding how the world works. Why Choose Me? ️ Current Master’s Student at the University of Oxford (Cancer Medicine) ️ First-Class BSc in Molecular Genetics from King’s College London ️ Qualified Teacher (PGCE) with 3 Years of Teaching Experience ️ 7+ Years of Private Tutoring Experience (GCSE & A-Level Science) I know that sitting through an online lesson, just staring at a screen while someone talks at you, can feel dull and unproductive. That’s why my lessons are designed to be engaging, interactive, and tailored to your needs. You won’t just listen—you’ll participate, apply what you learn, and develop real exam confidence. Lessons Built Around You – I offer flexible scheduling to fit around your timetable because I know students have busy lives! A Flexible Curriculum – While we may plan to cover a specific topic (e.g., the heart in Biology), if you communicate with me beforehand that you need to focus on a different topic—like an upcoming Physics test—we can easily adjust the lesson to meet your needs. No Such Thing as a Dumb Question – Never be afraid to ask me anything! If you’re wondering about something, I can guarantee someone else has asked it before. Science is all about curiosity, and I’m here to help. Kind, Caring, & Understanding – I know how stressful exams can be, and I’ll always provide a supportive, motivating, and pressure-free learning environment. Comprehensive Lesson Notes & Resources – At the end of each lesson, I’ll send you detailed notes, any exam questions we covered, and additional resources to help you revise and consolidate your learning. I’m here to help you build confidence, understand science in a way that makes sense, and perform at your absolute best in your exams. Let’s work together to make that happen!

My Approach to Tutoring I believe that active engagement is the key to mastering science. My lessons are designed to be interactive, structured, and exam-focused, ensuring students not only understand the content but also develop the skills to apply their knowledge effectively in exams. Lesson Structure & Teaching Methodology Each 1-hour lesson is split into two key parts: 50% Content Teaching – I break down complex concepts into clear, digestible explanations, using questioning techniques and interactive activities to keep students actively engaged rather than passively listening. 50% Exam Practice – We tackle exam-style questions from the student’s specific exam board (AQA, Edexcel, OCR, etc.), focusing on how to approach questions, structure answers, and maximise marks. Exam technique coaching – I teach students how to interpret questions, avoid common mistakes, and write high-scoring answers. Lesson notes provided – At the end of each session, I send comprehensive notes summarising key points for students to revise from. Lesson Length & Format Standard lesson length: 1 hour (longer sessions available upon request). Online lessons – Interactive, with screen-sharing and digital whiteboard tools for a classroom-like experience. My Qualifications & Experience ️ Current Master’s student in Cancer Medicine at the University of Oxford ️ First-Class BSc in Molecular Genetics from King’s College London ️ Qualified Teacher (PGCE) with 3 years of experience in Further Education ️ 7+ years of private tutoring experience, specialising in GCSE Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) & A-Level Biology/Chemistry Who Are These Lessons For?
