About Ryan
I graduated from Boston College in May 2022, magna cum laude, with a degree in Economics and minors in Finance and Philosophy. I worked in banking for a year to gain hands-on industry experience, while working on PhD applications and prepping for/taking the GRE. In March of 2023, I was accepted into Boston University's PhD in Business Administration program as the youngest admitted student in multiple decades, which is where I currently study, gaining the opportunity to take various economics, accounting, finance, and research design classes within the BU educational network of BU, BC, Harvard, and MIT.

My approach as a tutor is client-centric, patient, and analytical. I take the time to understand and empathize with the specific topics that are causing difficulty and do not attempt to explain or demonstrate anything without first putting myself in the student's shoes and either specifically remembering or imagining myself in the same spot, trying to have the same questions answered. Regardless of subject matter, we'll break down the concepts analytically and will seek to not merely solve a specific question or set of problems when worded or set up in a certain way, but will work toward a deep, meaningful grasp of the underlying patterns, theories, and implications so that at the end of our lessons, you'll be able to teach the material yourself.
