About Bhavna
As an individual who has been taught by many teachers (in different countries) due to changing schools (more than 7 times!) for family reasons, I understand the vitality of having a teacher that complements a student’s unique learning style. Hence, I wished to start tutoring to help other student find their personalised methods of learning and teaching, making their subjects and exams much easier to understand

I personalise all my lessons to suit the tutee. I understand students may not be aware of the learning methods which are most effective for them, and so I always monitor and teach in learning styles which allow them learn concepts easily. Initially, I help students set short and long term goals regarding the subject, which helps them to stay organised and motivated, while allowing me to pre-plan all future lessons accordingly.
For the structure of lessons, I use the first few minutes to recap the previous lesson’s contents, then go through the student’s pre-knowledge on the new topic before going through it in a personalised learning style that the tutee finds is the most effective for them; I always engage in lessons by e.g., asking questions to ensure they are focused, and are understanding the contents of the lesson. To conclude, I go through many exam questions, key words on the mark scheme, and exam techniques with them, to ensure that students feel confident about answering questions on the topic. This ensures that the students have been through the topics at least 2-3 times, which aids in solidifying their memory and understanding of the contents for a long period of time, making their revision much easier (and their exams less daunting!)
