About Mirza Saif Ullah

Hi, I'm Saif, a fourth-year dental student at the Peninsula Dental School, University of Plymouth. I've been through the dental school application process myself, so I know how daunting the personal statement, UCAT and interview stages can feel.

Alongside my studies, I'm the current representative for the Peninsula Dental School and a former president of the dental society. Those roles have given me plenty of experience in leadership, teamwork and communication, which are all qualities dental schools look for and which come up regularly in interviews. I'm also treating patients in clinical settings, so I can give you a realistic picture of what dental school and the profession involve day to day.

Outside dentistry, I enjoy football and reading. I think a balanced life matters, and I'm happy to talk about how to manage your time and avoid burning out during the application season.

My aim is to give you the kind of honest, practical guidance I would have wanted when I was applying.

About the lesson

Thinking of applying to dental school in the UK? I'm a 4th year dental student, and I know what the application process feels like from the inside. My sessions are designed to help you walk into your interviews with confidence.

Every lesson is tailored to you. Whether you're still shaping your reasons for choosing dentistry, working on your answers to ethical scenarios, or polishing your communication, we focus on what you need most rather than following a generic script.

What a typical session includes:

A mock interview portion, where you practise answering realistic dentistry interview questions in a setting that feels like the real thing
Feedback straight afterwards, covering what worked well, what to tighten and how to structure stronger answers
Time for your questions, whether about the application process, dental school life or anything you're unsure about
A written copy of your feedback after each session, so you can look back over it and track your progress

You'll leave each lesson knowing exactly what to work on next, with a record to refer back to.
