About Paul
My Journey:
I began by busking on the Belfast streets and now do gigs in pubs and have my own music recorded and available on Spotify My musical journey has been a dynamic adventure.
Why I Want to Teach:
Teaching is my way of giving back to the world of music that has given me so much. The streets and pubs have been my stages, and each recording studio session a canvas for my creativity. Now, I want to guide aspiring musicians on their own journeys, sharing the skills, insights, and the sheer joy that music has brought into my life.
My Approach:
Expect more than just lessons. I offer an immersive experience, drawing from my years of busking, pub singing, and studio work. I believe in fostering a love for music while honing your skills, creating an environment where every strum and lyric contributes to your unique musical story.

Greetings! I'm Paul, a seasoned music teacher in schools, now extending my expertise to offer engaging and personalized guitar lessons. My approach is centred around creating a supportive and creative environment for learners of all levels and ages.
Techniques and Teaching Methodology:
I bring a wealth of teaching experience into my guitar lessons, emphasizing a hands-on approach. Each session incorporates practical exercises, interactive learning, and the integration of music theory to provide a comprehensive understanding of playing the guitar. I tailor lessons to individual learning styles, ensuring a well-rounded grasp of both technical skills and expressive aspects of music.
Typical Length of a Lesson:
Lessons typically run for 45 minutes to an hour, striking a balance between comprehensive instruction, hands-on practice, and addressing any questions or concerns. This structure aims to keep the experience engaging and fulfilling for students.
Qualifications/Experience as a Tutor:
With a solid foundation in music education and relevant certifications, I leverage my experience as a music teacher to guide guitar enthusiasts in their musical journey. My commitment to providing quality education and fostering a positive learning environment is central to my tutoring approach.
Who Are My Lessons For:
My guitar lessons cater to beginners and intermediate players of all ages. Whether you're starting from scratch or looking to enhance your existing musical background, I adapt my lessons to meet your unique needs. The goal is to create a positive and enjoyable learning experience for every student.
