Hi! I’m Marisa – I’m Here to Help You
A Little About Me:
I’m a student at McGill University, studying Political Science and Economics, but I’ve always had a passion for a variety of subjects like Math, English, and History. I’ve been involved in academic clubs and leadership roles for years, and now I’m excited to share my knowledge and help you succeed! I’m also a huge fan of dogs, and my favourite ice cream is brownie fudge by Ben and Jerry’s.

As a tutor, i am a firm believer that each student has their own ways of retaining and learning content. I generally consider my teaching approaches as adaptable to student needs. However, i like providing exercises for areas which are considered important in a particular topic, as well as for areas in which students face difficulties in. Typically i start by outlining what we will be going through in each tutoring session, and i also like adding timed exercises especially when students have tests or exams approaching. For younger students, i find that interactive activities and games generate more engagement towards the tutoring session.
