About Laura
Hi I'm Laura. I am an actor from SW London and recent graduate of The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in MA Acting. I have a very strong knowledge of the tricky audition process, and have personally been a successful applicant to Mountview, Drama Centre, National Youth Theatre and Central. I previously studied at The University of Bristol with a BA hons in Theatre and Performance, and went to school at Kingston Grammar.
Outside of acting I am a director and filmmaker, with my debut short film currently being screened at the BFI Future Film Festival 2021, which is the UK's largest film festival for emerging talent.

With most auditions this year mostly being self-tapes, my background in filmmaking alongside my actor training is what will make you stand out as a candidate. One can be the best actor in the world, however if they are unable to showcase their talents because of a poor tape, unfortunately it may be a missed opportunity.
In my experience there are three keys aspects to getting into drama school: picking the perfect monologue(s); being ready for anything that is thrown your way; and having faith in your ability. Though this may seem like a daunting list, with a bit of encouragement and some good rehearsal they are all achievable.
