About Marcella

Hi, my name is Marcella, a professionally trained actor currently in my final year at East 15 Acting School in the UK. I offer engaging, supportive lessons tailored to all ages and skill levels. I have performed in a variety of roles such as Nina (The Seagull), Viola (Twelfth Night), Lady Macbeth, and Iphigenia (Iphigenia in Aulis). I have also been an assistant director at my local Youth Theatre as well as directed projects of my own. I have completed LAMDA exams from grades 4-8, achieving a high distinction in all of them. I also received the Edexcel award for Top In Europe for Drama GCSE. Acting can definitely feel intimidating, as each person will have their strengths and weaknesses. I aim to create a safe environment which allows my students to be confident and develop their own natural flair. Even if you are not looking to pursue a career in acting, give it a try as there are a multitude of transferable skills which will stick with you for life!

About the lesson

Depending on the area of need, we will create a specific lesson plan formatted to your needs. If you require general acting lessons to build technique, we will select a range of pieces to work on to stretch you as an actor. I can also offer assistance with drama school audition prep, where we will work through the pieces you have selected and create the best possible self-tape for your audition. If you wish for help with LAMDA exams, we will go through all of your pieces, where I will coach you, aiming to draw out the depth within your performance, focusing on various applications of technique. We will also go through all the questions required for each grade and how to answer them. We will learn to apply certain practitioners to the pieces - depending on the style of acting - and we will create a holistic approach to the subject.
