About Hugo
I am an Economics tutor with 7 years of experience teaching both High School and College students. Over the years, I have successfully helped 200 to 300 students improve their understanding of economics and achieve their academic goals. I am passionate about making economics clear, interesting, and relevant to everyday life. My teaching philosophy centers around patience, clear communication, and adapting lessons to fit each student’s unique learning style. I believe that economics is not just about memorizing facts or graphs but about understanding how the world works. To help my students succeed, I use real-life examples and encourage active participation through questions and discussions. One of my notable achievements is helping several students significantly improve their exam scores and gain confidence in challenging topics like microeconomics, macroeconomics, and economic policy. I also guide students in developing strong analytical skills that are valuable beyond the classroom. I focus on building a supportive and positive learning environment where students feel comfortable to express their doubts and explore ideas freely. My goal is to not only help students pass their exams but also to spark a genuine interest in economics that lasts a lifetime. My teaching approach in Economics is built on strong communication, integrity, diplomacy, and collaboration. I believe that learning economics is not just about memorizing theories but understanding how economies work in real life. I adapt my lessons to each student’s needs, making sure they feel comfortable asking questions and exploring concepts at their own pace. Integrity is important to me—I provide honest feedback and support to help students improve steadily.
In addition to Economics, I can also teach related subjects like Business Studies, Finance, and Statistics, which complement economic learning and broaden your understanding of how markets and businesses operate. My goal is to help students not only grasp economic principles but also apply them confidently in exams, projects, and real-world situations.
