About Jackie

For more than 24 years, I have dedicated my career to helping students and educators achieve excellence through engaging, research-based instruction. As an experienced educator, instructional leader, and Special Education specialist, I have taught and mentored learners across elementary, middle, high school, and higher education settings. My professional background includes serving as a Department Chair, MTSS/RTI Specialist, Humanities Teacher, College and Career Readiness Teacher, and instructional leader within one of the nation's largest public school districts.

I hold a Specialist in Education (Ed.S.) in School Administration, a Master of Education in Education Management, and a bachelor's degree in Psychology. I am also pursuing a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Administration, allowing me to integrate current research with proven instructional practices.

My teaching philosophy is built on the belief that every student can succeed when provided with high expectations, individualized support, and meaningful learning experiences. I create a welcoming, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, thinking critically, and building confidence. Each lesson is carefully planned to meet the learner's goals, whether that involves mastering academic content, strengthening study skills, preparing for exams, completing graduate coursework, or developing leadership competencies.

I specialize in Educational Leadership, School Administration, Special Education, MTSS/RTI, instructional leadership, educational research, teacher preparation, and academic writing. I also provide support for dissertation development, research methodology, APA 7th edition writing, and graduate-level education courses.

Students appreciate my ability to explain complex concepts in clear, practical ways while maintaining high academic standards. My lessons are interactive, organized, and tailored to each learner's experience and goals. I believe learning should be challenging, engaging, and empowering, and I am committed to helping every student develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to succeed both academically and professionally.

Whether you are an aspiring educator, graduate student, school leader, or K–12 learner seeking individualized support, I look forward to partnering with you to help you reach your full potential.

I believe every learner has the potential to succeed when instruction is purposeful, engaging, and tailored to their individual needs. With more than 24 years of experience as an educator, instructional leader, and Special Education teacher, I combine research-based instructional practices with real-world educational experience to help students develop confidence, critical thinking skills, and lasting understanding.

My teaching approach is student-centered, collaborative, and data-informed. I begin by assessing each learner's current level of understanding, identifying strengths and areas for growth, and designing instruction that builds upon prior knowledge. I use questioning techniques, modeling, guided practice, real-world examples, and continuous feedback to ensure students not only master content but also understand how to apply what they learn.

A typical lesson begins with a review of previously learned concepts and a discussion of the day's learning objectives. I introduce new material using clear explanations and practical examples before engaging students in guided practice. Throughout the lesson, I check for understanding using formative assessments, discussion, and problem-solving activities. Students then apply their learning independently or collaboratively, followed by reflection, feedback, and recommendations for continued growth between sessions.

What sets me apart is my diverse educational background and leadership experience. I have served as a Special Education Department Chair, RTI/MTSS Specialist, Humanities Teacher, College and Career Readiness Teacher, and instructional leader in elementary, middle, and high schools. My experience allows me to support learners with varying academic needs while helping them build strong organizational, study, and critical-thinking skills. I am also completing a Doctor of Education in Educational Administration, enabling me to integrate current educational research with proven classroom practices.

My lessons are designed for:

Elementary, middle, and high school students seeking academic support.
Students with learning differences who benefit from differentiated instruction and individualized learning strategies.
Undergraduate and graduate students studying education, educational leadership, school administration, special education, MTSS/RTI, instructional leadership, or teacher preparation.
Aspiring teachers, instructional coaches, and school administrators preparing for certification, coursework, leadership roles, or professional advancement.

Whether you are working to improve academic performance, prepare for exams, strengthen professional knowledge, or become a more effective educator or educational leader, I am committed to providing personalized instruction that empowers you to achieve your goals with confidence.
