About Totiana
I have been teaching elementary math for 20 years. I LOVE MATH! My favorite part of teaching is when a student tells me, "I'm not good at math," and I get to respond, "Just wait, you will be."
Then by the end of the year, the same student tells me, "math was actually my favorite class."
Every student learns differently so the key to success is connecting with students and helping them understand in their own learning language.

With 20 years of experience in an elementary classroom teaching math, I have used a vast variety of approaches to teaching the math content. The best approach is finding what works for each individual students and meeting their learning style. I have used hands on approaches with manipulatives, memorization techniques such as music and rhymes, color coded note taking, visuals and hand motions, quick steps, and many more. The key is to connect with the student and find what clicks.
I am skilled to tutor any math content at the elementary level, K-5th grade.
