About Karla
I have been in education for ten years. My primary goal is to get students to fall in love with learning, especially math. Math is an misunderstood subject. Students find it difficult to understand due to its complexity. I was in your shoes once. I despise math because I couldn't understand the story of numbers. It wasn't until college when I met a professor that made math simple and easy to understand. It was then when I fell in love with math! I never imagine I could. This inspire me to be this teacher for students. The teacher that motivates and makes learning simple and fun. I could proudly say this is what I've done.

My lesson are interactive and student lead. You will learned the skill, practice the skill and apply the skill to a small projector or game to see if you have obtained mastery of the objective. For example, if we are learning about perimeter. I will explain the concept, its real world application, and the reason why we add to find perimeter. After you practice finding the perimeter I will assign you a project where you will build your own city, zoo, or room using perimeter. If we are trying to memorize our multiplication and division facts I have fun games such as catch the fish to take the dullness out of memorization.
