My tutoring approach focuses on building strong understanding, confidence and independent problem-solving skills. Rather than simply showing students the answer, I guide them through the reasoning behind each step so they learn how to approach problems on their own.
I usually begin by identifying the student’s current level and any gaps in understanding. Lessons are then structured around explaining key concepts clearly, followed by guided practice and exam-style questions. I encourage students to ask questions freely and I adapt my explanations to suit their learning style. Where helpful, I also teach useful problem-solving strategies and exam techniques to help students perform well under test conditions.
A typical lesson is 60 - 90 minutes. This usually includes a short review of previous material, explanation of new concepts, and practice questions to reinforce learning.
I am a fourth-year Chemical Engineering student and a qualified teacher, with over four years of teaching experience in secondary schools, which gives me both strong subject knowledge and an understanding of effective teaching methods. I tutor Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics for primary and high school students who want to strengthen their understanding, improve grades, or prepare for exams.
