About Ben
As mentioned above I have a lot of experience working with young people, including in the teaching STEM environment.
During my Bachelors I worked with the STEM Ambassador Programme to help teachers bring interesting STEM workshops into school. I have made my own workshops, worked with careers service and addressed the situation of young women joining STEM careers.
I was also a Tennis coach for young people (12 - 16) when I was 16 for my Leadership qualification on my NCS course.
I also have 2 younger siblings whom I have always helped with Maths/Physics (as well as most other subjects) during their time through KS1 -KS3 and GCSEs.
As well as that I went to the Welbeck Defense Sixth Form college and stayed with RAF reserves. Led the Engineering society and the STEM Ambassador Society at Northumbria University. I have been Project leader for Enactus Northumbria and now am Team Leader for Enactus Newcastle. So I surround myself with the best STEM has to offer in both opportunities and people.

Hi, I'm Ben and I am a Mechatronics student with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and I am providing Maths tuition.
This will be my first time Professionally Tutoring. But I have a lot of experience working with younger people and am eager to learn on the job. Because of this you will notice that my rate per hour is lower than other Tutors.
My first lesson is free as I will use this time to look through the course and set goals with the student and make sure that I am a right fit as a tutor.
I have 11 GCSEs including an A in Maths and Physics. I also have A levels in Maths and Physics and an AS in Electronics. I passed my Mechanical Engineering Degree at Northumbria with a 2:1 and am now Studying Mechatronics at Newcastle University at Masters level.
I will work with each Student in the way that they best learn. This is one of the topics I will cover during the first free lesson. If there is a certain topic within Maths that needs addressing than this will get priority. I believe the best way to learn is to understand the knowledge required and then be able to implement this understanding to answer questions.

Writing as Ben's Dad I can say that I've known him all his life (!) and know that that he will excel as a tutor. He's patient, conscientious, empathetic and really knows his subject. He is an Officer Cadet, received a 2:1 degree in Mechanical Engineering this year and now moves on to a MSc at Newcastle University. In fact, maybe I need him to help me with my business spreadsheets!
Ben has helped me with my university engineering exam preparation and understanding. He is very encouraging and thorough with those he is helping.
