About Benjy
Hi! I’m a recent Leaving Certificate graduate with 601 points and H1s in Math, Physics, and DCG. I know how challenging the exams can be, so I’m here to make studying a bit easier (and hopefully more enjoyable!). I offer one-hour lessons both online and in person around Wicklow, helping students boost their confidence, understand tricky topics, and improve their exam technique. As a qualified sailing instructor, I am well used to helping people reach their potential in a friendly and patient way. The lessons will be tailored to each student’s needs — whether you’re aiming for a H1 or just want to feel more comfortable with the material. Let’s work together to help you reach your goals!

What I offer
Tailored one-hour lessons, either online or in-person in Wicklow — whichever suits you best.
Subjects covered: Maths, Physics, and Design & Communication Graphics (DCG) at Higher Level.
Each session is crafted around you: we identify where you’re comfortable, where you’re stuck, and build a plan together to move forward.
Support with conceptual understanding, problem-solving, exam technique, past-paper practice, and confidence building.
How the lessons work
We begin by discussing your goals: target grade, current strengths/weaknesses, and preferred pace.
Then I’ll adapt the session: for example, we might start with key concepts you find challenging, then apply them via worked examples, and finish with short questions you can practise on your own.
After the lesson I’ll provide you with a summary of what we covered and suggestions for what to revise or practise ahead of next time.
Lessons are relaxed, supportive and focused, so you feel comfortable to ask any question (no matter how small!) and make real progress.
Availability & next steps
I am available for 1-hour sessions, at times we’ll agree together.
Online: via webcam, flexible schedule.
In-person: in the Wicklow area — I can come to you.
