About Justin
When I tell you that I will blow out 50 candles on my birthday cake this year, you won't be surprised to find out that I have "worn a lot of hats" in my working past. Until December of 2014, I never earned a college degree, and this found me performing many jobs in the service and music industries. I have done everything from roofing houses, to promoting live music clubs, and tour managing bands. I also know my way around a kitchen, having managed many in the restaurant industry.
In 2012, I was a volunteer in a literacy program, and teaching those young and amazing hearts made me realize what my calling is: To share what I have realized over 50 years, that we should never stop learning, because life never stops teaching.

I am a Student Teacher in the final semester of receiving my Bachelors in Education degree from Texas State University. My area of focus is grades 4-8, with a composite specialization in English, Language Arts, and Social Studies. I received my Associates in Education from Austin Community College. Along with my passion for sharing a lifetime of knowledge and experience, I bring a true love for the subjects I teach. This energy creates a safe and exciting learning space that fosters growth and confidence.
I follow the four domains of Charlotte Danielson's "Framework for Teaching."
