About Jamie
I live in Japan and teach English as a second language to people of all ages; from children ages 4 and up to college students, housewives, hobbyists, and businessmen. I also have 1 year of experience teaching at a university and three years teaching middle school and high school students English. Through these experiences, I have been able to teach large groups of 15 students or more and an equal amount of experience teaching private/small group lessons. My hobbies include studying Japanese, reading books, and traveling around Japan and, when I have the chance, other countries.

I think the best way to learn is by speaking about topics you like and encourage natural conversation through speaking techniques that involve expressing yourself through your own interests. I have a lot of experience teaching technical grammar exercises, exams like Eiken, TOEFL, IELTS etc. so I can adapt my lesson for students who to learn through free conversation or through more precise learning exercises.
